Electrolux has issued a safety warning for some of its Electrolux, Moffat and Tricity Bendix brand electric ovens bought since March 2007.
Electrolux says the grill function on a limited number of single built-in electric ovens poses a potential fire risk.
Which? has expert, impartial reviews of built-in ovens, freestanding cookers and range cookers. You’ll also find reviews of microwaves, health grills and cooker hoods in our kitchen appliances section.
How to check if your Electrolux oven is affected
To check if your Electrolux, Moffat or Tricity Bendix brand electric oven is affected, make a note of the model number (Mod), product number code (Prod. No) and serial number (Ser. No) of your oven.
These details are printed on a rating plate visible on the left hand side of the front trim/cavity surround of the oven when the door is open.
What to do if your Electrolux oven is affected
If your product is affected, stop using the grilling functions of your oven and call 0800 707 6258 between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, or between 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday, in order to arrange a free of charge visit by a service engineer.
The safety notice does not affect any other Electrolux, Zanussi-Electrolux, Moffat or Tricity Bendix appliances.
