Soon-to-be-replaced Kia Carens
The latest offers direct from Kia
Kia is running a number of discounts on selected models in its range until the end of September.
The Cee’d 1.6 petrol LS at £11,745 represents a £2,000 saving, while Cee’d SW estate models are available with up to £1,800 off. Both of these come with a seven-year or 100,000 mile warranty - excellent value.
This should help clear stocks ahead of the arrival of the facelifted version, which debuted at the this week.
Meanwhile, the Carens MPV - which, it may surprise you to learn, is a really rather reasonable MPV - is available with a £1,000 reduction if you choose the 1.6 petrol S five-seater model. This brings it down to just £10,995.
Finally, the Picanto city car is being offered as a special edition Strike model. Including air conditioning, remote locking and - wait for it - power steering as standard, this is available from £7,495.
That’s £200 less than the cheapest standard pricing for a Picanto with air conditioning.
Personally, however, we’d probably save £95 and buy the Hyundai i10 1.2 Classic at £7,400 – it’s more practical and has air conditioning as standard.
BMW's 3 Series makes a fine drive
Save more than £5,000 on BMW 3 Series diesel
Fancy a ? Motorlogix looks like a good bet for a discount on this popular large car.
The is offering money off every single diesel saloon model in the range (although it’s not currently listing the very latest eco diesel models).
Biggest discount is £5,818 off the 335d twin-turbo diesel automatic in M Sport specification. £36,895 according to current BMW list prices, that saving brings it down to just £31,077.
However, we’re really impressed by the £4,306 saving on the 318d in entry-level ES trim, reducing it from £24,235 to an impressively affordable £19,929. These days you really don’t get much Ford Mondeo for that...
Roof-down fun with the 207CC
Peugeot 207 CC from under £13k
More late summer (autumn?) fun, as Motorpoint has a selection of low mileage Peugeot 207 CCs in top spec GT trim for you to choose from.
This compact Coupé-Cabriolet offers great value and a decent driving experience - especially when powered by the 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine, as here.
List price is currently £19,045 if you wanted to buy a new one (although the 207CC has recently been facelifted, so it may not be a direct comparison).
Motorpoint has them from £12,999 on a 57-plate with under 5,000 miles - a £6,046 saving - all the way up to unregistered with delivery mileage at £14,599 - which is still a £4,446 reduction.
