John Lewis is launching a Value range of 100 home products next week.
The new John Lewis Value range, launching on 14 September, will initially have 100 lines of home products, but is being extended early next year.
The department store chain – which won High Street Retailer of the year at this summer’s Which? Awards – is charging as little as £1 for mugs and tea towels, while utensils will cost from £1.50. Other products in the new range include saucepans, towels and bed linen.
New value range at John Lewis
John Lewis was voted by the top shop by Which? members to buy homewares, and electrical items including kettles, toasters and coffee machines in our survey of high street shops earlier this year.
John Lewis said that it’s not moving away from being a premium brand, but wants customers to know it stocks products at the value end, strengthening its Never Knowingly Undersold value.
John Lewis told Which?: ‘The shift in focus will include a more rounded promise that John Lewis will offer quality and service for price, with service being a key differential.’
