Gaggia coffee machines – good news for owners

Glitch over Gaggia repairs to be resolved

The new owner of Gaggia says the delay in getting repairs or parts such as filters should be resolved soon.

The bankruptcy of Gaggia UK – Gaggia’s sole UK distributor but not part of Gaggia – has caused a backlog of both repairs and parts supply.

Repairs to Gaggia machines

But Gaggia’s new owner, Philips, says customers needing to get their machine repaired can now contact Philips’ customer care centre  on 0800 331 6015. Philips has said customers should expect a near-normal service, but the centre is still working through a backlog of cases.

Accessories for Gaggia machines

For accessories and filters, Philips recommends contacting its three distributors: SGS (0845 862 1856), Dutchwest (01434 323232) and Olympic Shavers (0115 965 7440).

Which? contacted these distributors, but only SGS had a supply line set up. It said that although it is working through a backlog there should be no more than a week’s wait. Dutchwest and Olympic Shavers had yet to set up supply lines, although both hoped to do so soon.
