Tesco starts selling fitted kitchens and bathroomsLeading retailer goes head-to-head with DIY stores

03 October 2009

Supermarket giant Tesco has moved into the bathroom and kitchen fitting market.

As well as selling bathroom and kitchen products and ranges, Tesco has teamed up with the Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installers (iKBBI) to offer a fitting service to directly compete against DIY retailers and specialist bathroom and kitchen stores.

Tesco customers can choose to have their kitchens or bathrooms installed by an accredited iKBBI professional and will receive a free room planning and design service.

The service and range is available through some of its larger Home Plus stores and the Tesco Direct website.
