Vax Mach Air vacuum cleaner

Which? vacuum cleaner expert Katie Waller said: 'Lifting some vacs can be a real struggle and 4.9kg is very light - especially for an upright cleaner - so this vac should be much easier to carry up and down stairs.'

The 1.5kg capacity Mach Air upright vacuum cleaner uses multi-cyclonic suction, meaning air and dust sucked into the machine is spun through a series of cyclones.

As well as a slimline design, the Vax Mach Air has a 6m cord and 1.1m hose.

Other Mach Air features include an LED performance indicator which alerts users to blockages, an adjustable brush bar for different floor surfaces and a retractable handle that can be adjusted to eight different heights.

Stored onboard the vacuum cleaner is a three-in-one crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool.

For homes with pets, Mach Air 2 has all the functionality of Mach Air, plus an anti-bacterial filter and an air-driven 'Turbo Tool' for picking up pet hairs.

The Vax Mach Air is available priced around £179.99 and the Mach Air 2 at £199.99. Both vacuum cleaners come with a six year guarantee.
