Grand Cherokee £10k cheaper at Online Cars

Our discount detectives have found up to £10k off a Jeep, more than £4k off the practical Honda CR-V and £2.5k off the tyre smokin' Ford Focus RS. There's also a further 2.5% off Volkswagens from one broker.

Jeep may not have the greatest reputation for quality and reliability, but they are capable off road and the badge still carries a decent shot of prestige. Online Cars Limited has several in stock with significant discounts.

Pick from Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Commander models, with the biggest discount coming in at £9,958 on a Grand Cherokee 3.0 Overland with the Entertainment Pack - reduced from £37,908 to £27,950. Without the Entertainment Pack these are £26,650, a £9,788 saving over the £36,438 list.

Honda CR-V

Spacious Honda CR-V is due a facelift soon 

Cheapest of all are regular Cherokee 2.8 Limited automatics in a choice of black or silver at £18,395, representing a £7,723 saving over the £26,118 recommended retail price. Commander 3.0 Limiteds are available from £23,995, and with savings up to £8,734.

All vehicles are supplied with six months road tax and the full Chrysler UK warranty.

Honda CR-V diesel for £22k

As reported earlier this week, the Honda CR-V is scheduled for a facelift come January. That means it's time to hunt for a bargain on the current version.

To start you off there’s Buy A Car, which is selling brand new 2.2-litre i-CDTi turbodiesel examples in range-topping EX specification for £22,044. These are UK Honda main dealer supplied, and have a recommended retail price of £26,210.

You won’t get the latest, more powerful Honda diesel engine. But a saving of £4,166 ought to soften the blow.

Beat the VAT rise on Volkswagens

Ford Focus RS

Ford Focus RS: go green for £24,895

Carfile has a limited time and limited availability offer on Volkswagens ordered before the end of November and delivered before February 2010. It will increase its discount by a further 2.5% in order to compensate for the proposed VAT rise from 15% to 17.5% in January.

Move quickly, Carfile says, if you want to take advantage. The discount can also be applied to VWs bought via the .

Ford Focus RS now £1,500 off

And finally - remember that deal at Mammoth Cars we mentioned earlier in the week? Well, the saving has subsequently increased to £1,500 - meaning you can get a brand new unregistered for December/January delivery from as little as £24,895.
