Vax has launched what it's claiming is the 'UK's most advanced cordless upright vacuum cleaner' - the Vax Life.

The Vax Life promises more consistent battery performance and the same suction of a conventional corded upright vacuum cleaner, according to the manufacturer.

The Life weighs 3.4kg and has two cleaning modes for switching between vacuuming hard floors and carpets. It also features Vax's Wind Tunnel technology which is designed to lift and trap dirt more effectively.

Which? vacuum cleaner expert Vivienne Fitzroy says: 'Cordless stick vacuum cleaners are becoming increasingly popular, thanks to their convenience and lightweight build.

'We haven't tested the Vax Life's claims, but it'll be interesting to see how it compares to more established cordless vacuums we've looked at such as the Electrolux Unirapido and Hoover Freejet SU120RB2.'

The Vax Life cordless vacuum cleaner is available now with a six-year guarantee priced around £200.
