Cuisinart kettle can make the 'perfect' cuppaKettle allows you to choose heating temperature
28 January 2010
A new kettle from Cuisinart has a multi-temperature option to help you brew 'the perfect cup of tea and coffee'.
The Cuisinart Multi-temp jug kettle lets you set the temperature between 85ºC and 100ºC according to the drink you're preparing - because Cuisinart claims different types of teas and coffees brew best at certain temperatures.
The 1.7 litre kettle also has an eco setting to turn the kettle to standby when it's not in use, plus a removable anti-scale filter.
Which? tests kettles
According to Which? small appliances expert Lisa Galliers: 'The Cuisinart kettle looks smart and the temperature select feature is a good idea, as it means you don't have to over-heat water unnecessarily - we've seen this feature on a few other models launched recently.
'We'll be putting this kettle through our tests shortly to see how well it performs.'
In the meantime, take a look at our review of over 150 different kettles, which include lab test results of another Cuisinart model, the Cuisinart Power jug kettle, and the Morphy Richards 43870 Intelliboil, which also has multi-temperature settings.
Which? also tests Cuisinart food processors, coffee makers, hand blenders and toasters.
