Clothing chain Ethel Austin has gone into administration for the second time in two years.
The future of the 76-year old chain, and sister homewares brand Au Naturale now hangs in the balance after the business failed to pick up since being bought out of administration in May 2008.

Ethel Austin administrators MCR said it couldn’t rule out store closures and job losses as the chain now seeks a buyer to once more try and turn its fortunes around.
Despite the country now officially being out of recession, Ethel Austin could join a number of well-known high street casualties over the past two years, including Woolworths, Zavvi and home furnishings store The Pier.
