Miele is launching the first hybrid power vacuum cleaner which can ‘seamlessly’ switch between battery and mains power. Miele claims this exciting new vacuum cleaner offers ‘high class cleaning performance with unlimited mobility.’
The bagged S 4812 vacuum cleaner comes with a battery power option which Miele says will give 20 minutes of cordless cleaning – ideal for a quick clean of the car, stairs or attic.
The new Hybrid S 4812 cylinder vac will launch in the UK in March priced from £499. It will be available from Miele stockists including John Lewis and Comet.

Which? vacuum cleaner expert Vivienne Fitzroy says: ‘We’re currently testing the Hybrid S 4812 in our lab and you’ll be able to check out how it does in our vacuum cleaner review soon. We’ll be testing out how it performs using both the battery and mains power.
‘Lots of Miele cylinder vacuum cleaner have performed very well in our tests, so it’ll be interesting to see how this new addition to Miele’s range matches up.’

Cordless vacuum cleaner power
The Miele’s battery automatically charges itself when its used on mains power. An LED indicator light shows you how much battery charge is left so you’ll know when you need to plug in again.
The Hybrid also comes with Miele’s Hyclean bag which is designed to trap small particles and allergens.
