Ferrari World Abu Dhabi could be the ultimate holiday retreat for the petrolhead in your life. The world’s first Ferrari theme park covers 200,000 square metres and is expected to open later this year on Yas Island, located on the north east side of Abu Dhabi’s mainland.
As well as being the world’s biggest indoor theme park, Ferrari World will also boast the world’s fastest rollercoaster ride. The record-breaking rollercoaster is expected to reach speeds in excess of 120mph to help emulate the sensation of speed and acceleration in a Ferrari Formula One car. Gulp.
There’s also an additional G-force experience, taking passengers on an adrenaline-pumping ride that bursts through the red canopy, plus a host of vintage and contemporary racing memorabilia throughout the park.
Providing you can keep your food down, visitors can even sample a variety of Italian food, including two restaurants that have been inspired by the real Maranello food experience, where Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa head for a round of spag bol.
The only problem is, like most things adorned with the prancing horse logo, we’re not expecting this experience to be particularly cheap.
But we are expecting it to be an experience to savour. Just imagine watching a Grand Prix there…
