Big savings to be had on latest Astra
Cheapest new shape Vauxhall Astra deal in the country? We might just have found it.
Save On New Cars has a limited time offer on the New Astra 1.4-litre petrol Exclusiv. This isn’t exactly the most luxurious trim - being one up from the base level S - but you still get electric mirrors, MP3 player connection and cruise control.
The price is just £11,995 - which is a considerable £4,020 less than the £16,015 recommended retail price for this model. Full manufacturer’s warranty is included.

Mazda MX-5 under £15k
Huge £2,350 saving on Mazda MX-5
Now, this deal may not be the very cheapest you see advertised, but AutoFinders promises the cars it supplies will be brand new, rather than pre-registered. And, with a saving of over £2,300 against list, there’s still plenty to smile about - the MX-5 is, after all, a Which? recommended car.
The model in question is the 1.8-litre SE Soft Top Air Con - the base spec model but with air conditioning upgrade. List price is £17,345; AutoFinders is selling them complete with full three-year Mazda warranty and roadside assistance for £14,995.
That’s a total saving of £2,350.
Serious savings and free sat nav on Lexus IS
Get more than £4,000 off well-specced Lexus IS
Finally this week, Lexus has just announced a minor set of upgrades for its IS junior executive saloon. And to celebrate we’ve spotted a sweet discount deal at Autobytel.
It’s selling IS220d turbodiesel and IS250 petrol models in SE-I specification for £23,995 and £24,995 - which represents a significant saving over list. Standard equipment on this trim grade includes stability control, Bluetooth, eight-speaker stereo, front and rear parking sensors, anti-theft system, electric heated mirrors...
And Autobytel is throwing in Lexus’ ‘Full Map’ satellite navigation for free, representing additional value of £2,350. This means the RRP on the IS220d shoots up to £28,960, and on the IS250 it’s £29,235, so in total you’re saving £4,965 and £4,240, respectively.
Hot Deal hunters please note:
Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner on the V5 registration document.
Beware of brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications, and they should be avoided.
With regards to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
