Hot Car Deals, 16 March 2010Great deals on Audi A3, Ford Focus and Jaguar XK
16 March 2010
This edition of Hot Car Deals features two great hatchbacks in the form of the Audi A3 and the Ford Focus. But if you've got money to spend and the recent sunny weather has got you in the mood for summer, then a Jaguar XK convertible with £8k off could be just what you're after.
Audi A3 available for less than £15k
Sub-£15k Audi A3
We have noted before what a bargain the Audi A3 is becoming. And the idea of a brand new model for less than £15,000 is even more tempting.
Autobytel has sourced a stock of 1.6-litre three-door A3s, priced at £14,566. This represents a £1,199 saving over the already good value £15,765 list price. It also doesn’t come at the expense of a decent spec level, as all A3s have air-con and other premium essentials.
When you consider the cheapest Ford Focus lists at nearly £18,000, you can see what a good deal this Golf-sized Audi is. The firm has plenty of other trims and specs if the 1.6 isn't quick enough, too.

Ford prices really are high at the moment – hence the comparison above. It is thus interesting to find that there are some equally eye-watering deals out there, too.
Autofinders has brand-new Focus 1.6 TDCi 90 DPF Style 5dr models on offer, with a massive saving over the heady £19,150 list price. These are brand new models that havn’t been pre-registered – always an important point to note when searching for bargains.
On the road price? £14,095. That's £5,055 off the list price – and proof that while they may not be ‘official’ list prices, the affordable is still out there.
Jaguar XKR convertible offers real wind-in-your-hair thrills, and is available with £8k off
Jaguar XKR Convertible
Spring is here and Jaguar sales are rising. Enjoy the benefits of both with a healthy saving in the process.
Carquake is retailing a new-spec, unregistered Jaguar XKR Convertible for £72,145. Sounds expensive, but it is still a serious saving off the list price of £80,955.
Indeed, the firm says the deal is the biggest cash saving currently displayed on its site. Go for it - the £8,810 reduction is more than enough to buy another car for everyday use; CarQuake has newly-registered Renault Clio 3drs for less than that…
Hot Deal hunters please note:
Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner in the V5 registration document.
Beware of unscrupulous brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications and should be avoided.
With regard to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
