T-Mobile customers will be able to enjoy cheap film and game rentals courtesy of video-rental firm Blockbuster.
Blockbuster says it will text vouchers to T-Mobile customers, which they’ll be able to redeem in store using chip-and-pin terminals.

To receive a promotional code for the £5 deal, T-Mobile customers can simply text the words Night In to the number 3000 for free. The voucher is valid from Monday to Friday and allows customers to choose two movies, or one film and a game, for two nights, with a bottle of cola, bag of popcorn and a bag of sweets, all for £5.
Blockbuster will monitor your viewing habits
Blockbuster customers can opt into the scheme by sending a text message to the company.
However, it’s worth pointing out that the vouchers allow Blockbuster to observe members' viewing habits, as each unique code is fully traceable.

The entertainment chain will be able to see whether a particular voucher was used and, if so, when and where it was redeemed. Blockbuster says it will use this information to target its customers with relevant offers and increase overall sales.
The system is the result of a collaboration between card payment solution provider Commidea and mobile phone voucher redemption specialist Eagle Eye Solutions.
