Hi-tech Maclaren pushchair is a 'world first'Maclaren GTLX travel system has lights & dashboard
15 April 2010
Safety lights, a wireless dashboard and a strollometer to tell you how far you've walked are among the gadgets featured on Maclaren's new Grand Tour LX travel system.
The GTLX's hi-tech features - such as safety lights on the chassis, operated by a remote control, and the dashboard console - are a world first, according to Maclaren. However, they don't come cheap - the pushchair costs £590. Which? Best Buy travel systems start at around £200.
Maclaren says the wireless dashboard features a clock and temperature gauge as well as a detachable strollometer to measure how far and fast mums and dads are walking with their little ones.
A panel of parent testers is already out and about with the Maclaren GTLX. We'll report back their views and send it to our labs for a full pushchair test.
