Hot car deals, 29 April 2010Big savings on the Audi A3, VW Golf and Volvo XC90

29 April 2010

Today we've got three family favourites - the Audi A3 and VW Golf hatchbacks, and the Volvo XC90 4x4. They're among the more sought-after cars on the road, so deals can be scarce - but we've dug out the best on the market.

Audi A3

Save at least 10% on the popular Audi A3

10% discount on stock Audi A3s

Drive the Deal has a selection of brand new, unregistered Audi A3 turbodiesels in stock, all with a minimum 10% discount.

Choices include: 2.0-litre TDI three-door in SE specification with start-stop for increased urban fuel savings - yours discounted from £20,475 to £18,275, a £2,200 reduction; five-door Sportback 1.6 TDI in Sport specification - loads of extra kit means a list price of £22,150 while the £2,405 discount drops it to £19,745; and five-door Sportback 2.0 TDI S line with start-stop and a Bose stereo upgrade for £20,510 - a £2,500 saving over the £23,010 list price.

There’s even a 1.4-litre turbo petrol five-door Sportback discounted £2,440 from £22,555 to £20,115. Complete with a red and black Exclusive interior, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth, this Sport-spec machine is worth a look since the waiting list for this particular engine is notoriously long.

VW Golf

Save nearly £2,000 on the VW Golf

Save nearly £2,000 on VW Golf TDI GT

Alternatively, if the Audi A3 doesn’t do it for you, how do you feel about the closely related Volkswagen Golf?

Mammoth Cars has 15 brand new examples in stock with various engines and specifications. You’ll need to call to get the full details, but one option is the sought-after 2.0-litre TDI 140 turbodiesel GT.

Listed at £20,750, you can drive this away for £18,781 - a £1,969 saving.

Volvo XC90 discount gets bigger

Finally this week, Carfile has increased its existing discount offer on the Volvo XC90.

Volvo XC90

One deal we spotted on the Volvo XC90 has just got better

Where Carfil was previously offering a 9% saving plus another £5,000 (plus VAT), it’s now offering 9% plus £5,500 (plus VAT) off all XC90 SE models, and 9% plus £6,000 (plus VAT) off the Executive.

'Move quickly' it says - and we believe them.

Hot Deal hunters please note:
Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner in the V5 registration document.
Beware of unscrupulous brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications and they should be avoided.
With regards to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
