Saga launches Best Rate internet savings accountNew 2.75% instant-access savings deal issued

14 May 2010

Over 50s provider Saga has launched a competitive new instant-access savings account.

Available from 14 May, the account pays a rate of 2.75% and will feature in our online instant-access Best Rate table from next week. The rate includes a 1% bonus payable for a year.

The Saga deal is on a par with accounts from Alliance & Leicester and Birmingham Midshires, and only narrowly beaten by the AA's table-topping Internet Extra 2 account paying 2.80%, which includes a 2.3% bonus payable for a year.

Temporary high

Although this is potentially a great deal for 12 months, don't forget to shop around when the bonus rate expires to make sure you get a good deal on your savings.
