Teabags top the list of items you take on holiday

Holidays just aren’t the same without a good cuppa – or at least that’s what a third of Which? members seem to think.

Just over half of Which? members took some food or drink on their last trip abroad, according to a new survey carried out by Which? Holiday.

The trusty teabag was a runaway winner at the top of the list with 34% of respondents adding them to their suitcase. Coffee came in as the second most popular item (19%) while those with a sweet tooth wouldn’t leave home without some sugary goodies in their luggage (17%).

Make space for Marmite

One in ten members wouldn’t holiday without chocolate. And, for one in 20, their break away wouldn’t be the same without Marmite. More unusual items taken on holiday included breakfast cereals (2%), biscuits (1%) and water (1%).

Women stock the suitcase

Women were more likely to take food or drink abroad than men (60% compared with 54%), while members above the age of 45 were less likely to pack food in their suitcase than those below this age (63% compared with 55%).
