If you've ever felt the need to listen to music or surf the web in your kitchen, a new multimedia iPod Touch fridge freezer may offer the solution.

Slovenian appliance manufacturer Gorenje has launched the RK 1000IP freestanding iPod Touch fridge freezer - featuring two 50W speakers, a wireless internet connection and an iPod docking station. The station allows charging of an iPod Touch, as well as music and video playback.

The fridge freezer also has a wireless internet connection for surfing the web and accessing the new iGorenje web portal. The portal offers advice and recipes in text and video format, so you can listen to music while scrolling through hints and tips for household tasks.

Which? fridges and freezers expert Carole Shepherdson says: 'You’ll find this Gorenje useful if you like to listen to music while you cook or follow recipes from YouTube, but this fridge freezer is likely to cost more than a standard fridge freezer and a standalone iPod speaker set.'

The A+ energy-rated freestanding fridge freezer comes in black and has a large total net capacity of 364 litres.

Gorenje's marketing manager Ruth Ferguson says: 'This is a classic and natural combination of two very different technologies in which neither is compromised. The erstwhile humble fridge freezer has never been sexier!'
