3D TVs have arrived in the UK with a splash and Which? has rounded up models from the major TV giants to bring you the results of the first independent, lab-based, comparative 3D TV test.
3D TVs from LG, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony were pitched against each other in front of an expert viewing panel.
Which 3D TV is the best?
The test revealed that while the Panasonic Viera TX-P50VT20 offered the best 3D TV picture, the LG 47LD920, which uses passive 3D technology, provided a more comfortable 3D experience.

Future of 3D TV
Michael Briggs, Which TV expert, said: ‘A 3D TV in your living room is a long way off from the immersive 3D experience you get at the cinema and with the current dearth of 3D content available to watch, it has to be seen as a bolt-on feature of a regular TV – and an expensive one at that.
‘Over the coming years, however, we can expect the amount of 3D content available to rapidly grow and the price to fall. At present, watching 3D TV at home with the heavy active shutter glasses is a little too much like hard work.’
