Broadspeed is offering rare discounts on Porsches - like £1,667 off a Boxster Spyder
Today's batch of Hot Car Deals features some real Which? favourites - the Mazda MX-5, and the entire Skoda and Porsche ranges.
Save £1,000s on new Porsches
Porsche is not a brand you ever expect to see a discount on, but it seems Broadspeed didn’t get that memo.
The broker’s recent website redesign is flagging a Porsche Boxster discount of £1,667 – not a huge amount, but it really is remarkable to see any reduction whatsoever here. Further investigation reveals that Broadspeed can in fact save you money on nearly every model in the Porsche range.
If you’re after a Cayman or the latest Cayenne, then unfortunately this may be limited to just a few hundred pounds. But versions of the Boxster, Panamera and 911 are all available with savings that just about reach into the thousands.
They are all UK main dealer supplied and unregistered. Broadspeed explains the discounts are possible by passing on the volume rate, even though you are buying a single car.
Our pick? A nice 911 Carrera 2S coupé at £71,828 instead of £74,777, saving £2,949. Or the radical Boxster Spyder with PDK paddleshift auto for £47,287, saving £1,667 over the £48,954 list price.

The Mazda MX-5 is a favourite of the Which? Car team, especially when it's discounted
Mazda MX-5 over £3,800 off
It’s not too late to get a convertible for summer. Which? favourite, the Mazda MX-5 is in plentiful supply according to UK Car Discount.
It’s offering the top spec 2.0i petrol Sport Tech Roadster Coupé for just £18,623, including metallic paint. This version has a folding hard-top rather than the more traditional fabric soft-top, offering greater security and refinement with a only a minimal weight penalty.
Recommended retail price is £22,455 including metallic paint, so that’s a saving of £3,832 on a brand new, unregistered UK dealer-supplied car. Other MX-5 variants are also available, with similar levels of discount.
Skoda's long-running VAT-free deal is to continue to the end of 2010
Skodas stay VAT free up to 2011
Finally, Skoda has extended its ‘No VAT’ offer until 31 December 2010.
This means buyers of the Fabia, Roomster and Octavia will effectively save as much as £3,388 off the list price if they order before the end of the year. And while this deal excludes the new Fabia vRS hot hatch, which has just reached Skoda showrooms, there is also a 0% finance offer on this and other selected Fabia, Roomster and Octavia models.
Skoda can also provide finance at rates as low as 7.9% on other models – including the Yeti. Terms and conditions apply, subject to status; see your local Skoda dealer for more details.
This is all very well, of course, but come 1 January 2011 when the new 20% VAT rate comes in, customers are likely to see quite a jump in Skoda pricing. Take advantage while you can.

Hot Deal hunters please note:
• Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
• The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner in the V5 registration document.
• Beware of unscrupulous brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications and as such they should be avoided.
• With regards to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
