New vacs with bumpers to protect your furnitureSebo vacuum cleaners have impact-absorbing bumpers
07 July 2010
Tough foam bumpers on Sebo's latest cylinder vacuum cleaners can absorb impacts when vacuuming - helping to keep your furniture mark-free, according to the company.
Sebo says its new Airbelt D vacuum cleaners include a patented bumper system made of 'a high density foam covered by tough lycra-mix fabric' around the body of the vacuum cleaner. This helps to prevent marking caused by trailing vacuum cleaners hitting the likes of tables, chairs and sofas.
The vacuum cleaners in the range - the D2 Storm, D2 Titan and D2 Total - also promise a six litre bag capacity, longer-than-usual 12m power cord and easy-to-use controls.

Which? vacuum cleaner expert Vivienne Fitzroy says: 'Our tests show that cylinders generally do well when it comes to manoeuvrability, but this can mean they're more likely to bump into furniture and doors - especially if you're whipping round the house for a quick clean. Although this feature won't guarantee mark-free walls or furniture, as hoses and nozzles can also cause the odd mark, it's certainly helpful in minimising them'.
Other features of these Sebo vacuum cleaners include:
- ergonomically designed handles for 'comfortable use'
- soft tyre wheels to 'protect floors'
- cone-shaped hose to 'improve suction'
- extra attachments stored at the back of the vacuums.
