30 September 2010

Here's this week's second batch of deals, which includes some serious savings on the BMW X5, Fiat 500C and Nissan Note.

Save £1,700 on special edition Fiat 500C

Now here’s a deal you definitely don’t see every day – more than £1,700 off a Fiat 500 – but it won’t appeal to everyone.

Perrys is offering the delivery mileage 1.2-litre petrol Fiat 500C convertible for just £11,995. Standard kit includes electric front windows, air conditioning, the electric retractable roof and seven airbags. The trouble is that it’s the special edition Pink version. Which means bright pink paint.

If that sounds like your thing, the recommended retail price should be £13,700 – so that’s a total saving of £1,705. Hurry – the offer is unlikely to last for long.

It’s also been a while since we saw any significant discounts on the BMW X5. No longer.

UK Car Discount has stock examples of the xDrive 40d turbodiesel in M Sport specification available in a choice of Alpine White or Black Sapphire. The cars are on 60 registration plates with delivery mileage only, and include an extensive list of fitted equipment. Highlights are 20-inch alloy wheels, media pack with satnav, leather, reversing camera and climate control.

These X5s are available in limited numbers, so move quickly. Priced at £50,677, this represents a £4,758 saving over list price once all the options are taken into account.

Save £2,800 on a Nissan Note with standard sat nav

Sat nav as standard: Nissan Note N-Tec

Finally there are plenty of deals around on the Nissan Note at the moment – particularly the well-specified N-Tec version.

The very best price we’ve seen is at Autofinders, which is selling the 1.4-litre petrol version at just £9,995. Beyond the spacious and practical interior, the N-Tec features 16-inch alloy wheels, climate control, tinted glass and the Nissan Connect infotainment system, including iPod connection and satellite navigation.

List price is £12,795 – so that’s a £2,800 saving on a brand new, unregistered, UK-supplied car.

Hot Deal hunters please note:

• Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
• The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner in the V5 registration document.
• Beware of unscrupulous brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications and as such they should be avoided.
• With regards to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
