Save up to 10% on the new Nissan Juke

Nissan’s new baby crossover, the Juke, isn’t quite in dealerships yet, but more and more discounts are starting to appear.

Carfile has increased its limited range-wide discount to 7%. That's great news if you want to take your pick of the line-up, including, for example, the top-spec turbo petrol with torque vectoring four-wheel drive.

However, reverse auction site Auto eBid reckons it can offer you a minimum saving of £1,390 on the 1.6-litre non-turbo petrol in Acenta specification. This features stability control, Bluetooth, 17-inch alloys, climate control and the Juke drive computer – among other items.

List price is £13,825 for this model, but that £1,390 saving drops this to £12,435 – a reduction of more than 10%.

Up to £4,800 off new Renault Mégane CC

Renault Mégane CC: save up to £4,800

Renault Mégane CC: save up to £4,800

The all-new Renault Mégane Coupé-Convertible has hardly been on sale any time at all – yet you can already score a substantial discount off a brand-new example.

This doesn’t exactly bode well for the residual values, but if you plan to keep the car a while that won’t be so important. The latest Mégane CC is a nice enough car, complete with all-glass folding roof, a very modern engine line-up and a Renaultsport-tuned chassis option.

Perrys is selling Dynamic TomTom variants – which is the entry-level spec, but includes satellite navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels and air conditioning – from as little as £16,795.

That price gets you the 1.4-litre turbo petrol; spend £19,495 and you can have a torque-rich 1.9-litre dCi turbodiesel instead. Recommended retail prices are £21,595 and £24,060 respectively, so that’s a saving of £4,800 or £4,565.

Nearly new BMW 118d M Sport from £16,499

BMW 1 Series: buy nearly new for big savings

Buy nearly new for big savings

Finally, considering a compact, sporty hatchback, but want one that doesn’t cost the earth to run? Try the BMW 118d.

Motorpoint has a huge selection of five-door examples in range-topping M Sport trim going for as little as £16,499. With six-speed manual gearbox and 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, the 118d will sprint 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds and hit 130mph, yet still returns 62.8mpg and emits just 119g/km CO2 (according to official EU testing figures).

You also get sports suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, start-stop, stability control and rear parking sensors. List price is £23,280, so that’s a substantial £6,781 saving for buying used – but you will have to accept an 09-plate and slightly higher than average mileage of around 17,500 miles.

Spend £17,999 on the other hand, and you'll get a 59-plater that has covered less than 5,000 miles – that’s still a £5,281 saving.

Hot Deal hunters please note:

• Not all brokers deal in UK sourced vehicles, and this may have an impact on standard equipment and warranty levels.
• The term ‘pre-reg’ or ‘pre-registered’ refers to vehicles that are brand new but already registered with the DVLA. This means that you will appear as the second owner in the V5 registration document.
• Beware of unscrupulous brokers who tell you that they will have to retain the V5 registration document for a period of time after your purchase of the car. Vehicles sold this way may be cheap, but there are numerous legal implications and as such they should be avoided.
• With regards to all of the above, always make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before you put your money down in order to ensure you are making an informed choice.
