This pint-sized coffee machine is the latest model from Krups in its Nescafé Dolce Gusto range.
The Piccolo is a capsule espresso machine which Krups claims will take up less space on your kitchen counter than other coffee machines because of its compact size. The coffee machine comes in red or white.
It’s just gone on sale in Tesco Direct for £99.97 – or buy from Amazon for £89.99.
Five other Krups coffee machines have already been put through their paces in the Which? test lab, including the original , and the Aeroccino Essenza.

Which? coffee machines expert Lisa Galliers says: ‘The Piccolo looks very cute, and its compact size should appeal to anyone with a small kitchen.
‘We’ve just tested the updated original Dolce Gusto machine which, like the Piccolo, now features 15-bar pressure. We’ll be publishing the full results on this model on Which.co.uk early next month.’
Capsule or pod-based coffee machines are a quick and hassle free route to a homemade espresso. Instead of faffing around with loose coffee, you simply add a pre-packaged pot of coffee to your machine, press a button, and wait for espresso to drip out of the spout. On the downside, the capsules can’t be recycled.
In the case of the Piccolo, Krups promises the machine will be ‘incredibly simple to use and easy to clean’ and is able to serve up coffee at the flick of a lever. It also comes with a free variety pack of Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee pods.
