UPDATE: You can now watch our full video first look review of the Dyson Groom Tool, where our researchers put the tool through its paces on their own four-legged friends.
Dyson will tomorrow unveil its latest gadget to hit the UK market, and all hints suggest it will be a dog-grooming brush for Dyson vacuum cleaners.
Although we’ve not had full details yet, Dyson has indicated that the latest product is ‘designed for dogs’ and will have a canine, allergen theme. Dyson has already launched a dog-grooming brush in Japan and we expect this to be the product unveiled tomorrow.
Which? will be at the launch where we expect to see the dog-grooming brush in action and will bring you our initial impressions of this latest innovation from Dyson.
Dyson dog grooming brush
We’re no strangers to Dyson’s vacuum cleaner innovations – Which? has test results for dozens of Dyson vacuum cleaners in our vacuum cleaners review, including models designed to pick up pet hair such as the DC25 Ball Animal.
But Dyson’s latest product sees it tackling the fuzzy issue of pet hair in a way we’ve not seen before. The Dyson doggy brush is actually a grooming tool that vacuums your dog’s hair as you brush it.
Already available in Japan, the dog-grooming brush has a retractable comb which attaches to the end of your vacuum cleaner hose and sucks up dog hair before it escapes into your home.
But not all Dyson innovations have been well received – the Dyson Contrarotator washing machine was withdrawn from the market after poor sales.
However Dyson is back on its home territory when it comes to vacuum cleaners – earlier this year it launched the Dyson City DC26 – a miniature vac designed to save on space and deliver powerful cleaning.
