Clarity CPF7-15 7in Digital Photo Frame

The Clarity digital photo frame is one product we recommend you avoid

If you’re shopping for last-minute Christmas gifts and find yourself tempted to buy the first thing you see on the shelves, just make sure it isn’t one of these.

In our lab tests, all of these products were rated as Don’t Buys - meaning they put in such a poor performance that we can’t recommend that anyone buys them under any circumstances.

The seven presents to avoid

Poor picture and sound quality, and incredibly awkward to use. Check out our TVs review to see which TVs are worth buying.

Clarity CPF7-15 digital photo frame

Photos look awful on this low-resolution screen.

Technika Smartbox 8320 HD PVR

Difficult to use, with a poorly designed remote. We have reviews of PVRs and DVD recorders that can do the job much better.

Argos Value Range CDAB8R digital radio and Roberts CRD-37 digital radio

Sound on both of these DAB radios is disappointingly poor. Find a DAB radio with good sound quality in our digital radios review.

Creative Zen Aurvana headphones

Poor sound quality, and uncomfortable to wear. Our headphones review has plenty of better options.

Skullcandy Double Agent headphones with built-in mp3 player

Average sound quality, and the MP3 player is difficult to use. You're better off buying a separate MP3 player and headphones.

Returning unwanted Christmas presents
