Which? Computing unveils the top gadgets, released during 2010, that will delight your nearest and dearest this Christmas.
This was one of the most-hyped gadgets of 2010. Its sleek design, slick touchscreen interface and those all-important apps mean it’s the tablet that’s on almost everybody’s wish list.
The original ebook reader. The 15cm screen with its comfortable, ink on paper feel is perfect for devouring digital newspapers and novels.
This Panasonic model is a Which? Best Buy with an overall score of 72%. The camera impressed our testers with its sharp resolution and the colour reproduction is excellent, particularly in bright daylight.
Xbox 360 Kinect
This is Microsoft’s answer to Nintendo’s motionsensitive Wii wand. With games reminiscent of the biggest hits for Nintendo’s Wii, Kinect might just be the next big thing in console gaming, although we’ve yet to fully test the device.
Those who really want to splash out could invest in one of 2010’s other hottest items: a 3D TV. We recommend the Samsung UE55C8000, a beautifully-svelte 55-inch, LED 3D TV. This Best Buy TV has a price tag to match its luxurious looks (a little over £2,300).
This is an advanced smartphone that’s packed with premium features, including a 5Mp camera and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The large 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen ensures that images and videos look extremely sharp and bright.
