As the new Argos catalogue hits stores, the Which? Home team takes a closer look at what products and deals it has to offer.

The 75th Argos catalogue says it has more than 20,000 products to choose from in total, with 5,000 new items listed. 

These include 750 ‘Wow’ items – products that are either low price or come with free gifts or accessories – and an extra 50 lines added to its Value range of kitchen gadgets and homewares.

New Argos catalogue 

We had a flick through the catalogue – here are some of the items that caught our eye:

  • Three for two on Argos’ new Colour Match range – a collection of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and other homewares available in coordinating colours and styles.
  • ‘Wow’ offers on Mamas and Papas baby products – including a baby bouncer, high chair and pushchair.
  • New Nintendo 3DS games console – available from 25 March but available to pre-order now for £229.99.
  • Remington’s new Tribal haircare range – animal-print patterned hairdryer, hair straighteners and curling tongs, each with free gifts.
  • Lots of new fridge and freezers in the Argos Value range, with prices starting from under £100.
  • Dyson bladeless pedestal and tower fans for £299.99 and the new Dyson dog groom tool (39.99).
  • New Cookworks Signature hot water dispenser for £39.99 – similar to the .
  • 70 appliances, from television to tumble dryers, carrying the Energy Saving Trust recommended logo.

Shopping at Argos

We also spotted a new health-conscious range of kitchen products from Rosemary Conley, including a steamer and slow cooker, and a stylish-looking collection of small kitchen gadgets from Ready Steady Cook.

The new Argos catalogue is available to pick up from Argos stores nationwide. Alternatively you can shop via the Argos website, or through its iPhone app, which has been downloaded 1.2 million times. customers can now pay for their shopping using PayPal – but be aware of your reduced payment protection if you choose this option.
