Samsung has announced the launch of it’s feather-weight premium laptop – the Samsung ZX310 – at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Weighing in at just 1.31kg and 16.3mm in depth with a 13” screen, Samsung say the ZX310 offers the best of everything ‘design, performance and usability’.
As well as being compact and light the Samsung ZX310 has Samsung’s SuperBright Plus Display which Samsung claim is two times brighter than conventional displays.
To help conserve the battery, the laptop also includes ambient light sensors, allowing it to automatically adjust the display brightness to suit the room. The keyboard is backlit – its brightness is also adjusted to suit the ambient light conditions.
Samsung also claims that the ZX310’s battery last up to three times longer than a typical model.
The ZX310 is equipped with Windows 7 and will have either Intel’s second generation i5 or i7 Core Processor with up to 8GB of memory.
It includes Samsung’s Fast Start instant-on feature – Samsung claim the laptop is ready to use in 12 seconds and is 60% faster booting than a hard disk drive (HDD) model.
There’s a 1.3M HD webcam for clear video and images and video clips can be played in widescreen high definition.
For ease of use the ZX310 features a larger, touch sensitive gesture pad.
