Baby deal of the week: Philips Avent baby monitor

Which? has been scouring the web this week for cheap deals on baby monitors - and found this Philips Avent model with more than £25 off.

The Philips Avent Eco Dect baby monitor (model SCD525) is one of the models recently put through tough tests in the Which? lab, along with others from Samsung, BT and Motorola.

It's currently down from £80 to £53.32, with free Super Saver delivery at Amazon - more than £25 cheaper than buying direct from Philips or from nursery specialist

Philips Avent baby monitor

This model from Philips Avent is a Dect - meaning digitally-enhanced cordless telecommunications - baby monitor. This type of baby monitor has a microprocessor designed to ensure the only nursery sounds you can hear are those from your own nursery, not anyone else's.

It's got a host of other useful features, too - including a docking station, night light, lullaby function and room temperature monitor. There's also an intercom which you can use to soothe your baby.

You can read the full review of the Philips Avent Eco Dect in our full baby monitors review, which includes latest test results for 14 new monitors.

Our in-depth lab tests rate each baby monitor for interference, volume and sound quality, overall range and battery life - exactly the sort of things you can't try out for yourself when you're in a shop. Top-rated baby monitors are awarded a Which? Best Buy recommendation.
