This lampshade-styled cooker hood from Electrolux hangs directly from the ceiling – for extra impact above kitchen island units.
The unusual EFA50700 cooker hood – available in stainless steel, white and black – offers three levels of extraction, electronic controls, a charcoal filter and an aluminium grease filter to purify the air as you cook.
Which? cookers expert Matt Stevens says: ‘In style terms alone this striking new hood from Electrolux certainly stands out.
‘It’s good to see consumers being offered a selection of colours to choose from – not everyone has a stainless-steel clad kitchen after all. But £1,000 is a lot to pay for a hood. We’ll be testing cooker hoods again soon, so keep an eye on which.co.uk for results and new Best Buys.’
The cylindrical hood also provides a choice of lighting: two 20W halogen lights to provide a bright clear light above the work area, and four 40W lights for a more ambient atmosphere. It will go on sale in May, priced at around £999.
