Smart has announced a very bright new limited edition ForTwo called the NightOrange. Can you guess the colour?
Smart says the ForTwo NightOrange will be ‘the most refreshing sight on Britain’s roads this spring’. We’re not sure ‘refreshing’ is quite the right word.
Smart ForTwo NightOrange: mighty bright
As you can see – assuming it hasn’t, in fact, already blinded you – this new special edition Smart is finished in what’s described as vivid orange, complimented by black for the 15-inch alloy wheels, ‘tridion’ safety cell, door mirrors and radiator grille.
The headlights also have titanium-coloured inserts, there’s the expected NightOrange badging, and the same contrasting set of hues for the interior.
Black and orange interior, too
Inside you’ll find black leather upholstery, orange stitching, and sport stripes on the seats and dashboard. There’s a matt black look to the other trimmings – including the dashboard, doors, clock and rev counter – plus ‘luxurious’ velour floor mats with the NightOrange logo.
Standard kit includes a USB/aux interface, but you’ll have to pay more for an infotainment system including satellite navigation, Bluetooth and iPod connection.
A true limited edition
You can have the NightOrange as a coupé or a cabriolet, and pick the 71bhp petrol with start-stop Micro Hybrid Drive (MHD), or the 84bhp turbo petrol – both with the tiny capacity of just 999cc.
As with all Smarts, it comes an automatic gearbox only.
Just 235 Smart ForTwo NightOrange Editions will be made available for sale in the UK, and prices start at £9,995.
