First Direct joins five other brands to become one of the new Which? mortgage Recommended Providers.

The Co-operative Bank, Britannia, Nationwide Building Society, HSBC and Yorkshire Building Society have also achieved recommended provider status.

In our latest survey, First Direct came out way ahead for overall customer satisfaction with a score of 89%, compared with 79% for the Co-operative Bank in second place.
