Tippitoes is entering the twin buggy market for the first time with its £149 Reflect twin stroller which it describes as ‘exceptional value for money’.
The new Reflect will be hoping to lure parents away from the popular Silver Cross POP duo, £250 and the Maclaren Twin TechNo, £280
Value for money
Despite the competitive price Tippitoes have manage to cram this double buggy with attractive features. The buggy is supplied with removable hoods and a rain cover, linked rear brakes and seats that can be reclined independently. It is suitable for children six months or older and folds down to 45x19x103cm which is quite compact for a double buggy.
The future of double buggies
Which? Baby and child product expert Victoria Pearson says: ‘Which? has tested side-by-side buggies in the past and found that they are cumbersome to steer and store.’
The success of the Phil & Teds brand of pushchairs which can be converted to carry two children has spawned a new generation of convertible pushchairs. Stacking seats are all the rage right now; they’ll feature heavily in the pushchairs that we test in Summer 2011 alongside more traditional-style doubles.
