The Philips HR1854 juicer can handle whole pieces of fruit and vegetables at a time, which should speed up juice making – here’s where to buy it for less.
This whole fruit centrifugal juicer – which work by using toothed blades on the bottom of a rapidly-spinning sieve basket to separate juice from the pulp – offers two different juicing speeds.
It’s an unlikely destination to buy a kitchen gadget from, but at the time of writing online pharmacy Chemist4U has this Philips juicer on sale for £39.99, with free delivery available. That’s £20 cheaper than you’ll find it in the Philips online store or Currys.
Cheap Philips juicer
A 150ml glass of fruit or vegetable juice counts towards one of your five-a-day target – and a good juicer is quick way to make your own fresh drinks.
Some vitamins in fruit and vegetables start deteriorating as soon as the food is peeled and chopped, so for the best health benefits keep fruits as whole as possible when juicing them, and drink the juice as soon as possible.
