18 August 2011

Baby Polar Gear On The Go

The Go Anywhere booster seat from Baby Polar Gear is a simple folding seat which is strapped to an adult chair and packed away into a carrying bag. We've spotted it for just £14.99.

If you're looking for a lightweight high chair you can pack up and take with you when you're out and about, this handy cushioned booster seat weighs just over half a kilogram and converts into a bag with carry handles.

We've fully tested the Go Anywhere Booster Seat, which has a three-point safety harness. In addition to many other tests, our experts placed this seat on six different chairs including several restaurant-style seats and a plastic garden chair and checked how safe and simple to use it was. Read the results in our high chairs review.

It's suitable for children aged between 12 months and two-and-a-half years.

The Go Anywhere is selling between £23 and £24 at stores including Babies R Us and Boots - but we'd suggest shopping online for it at Amazon this week. There it's down to £14.99, including free delivery.

It's reduced to the same price at Mothercare - but unless you're able to reserve and pick up in at your local shop, you'll have to factor in extra costs for delivery.

Buying a high chair

Earlier this year, we asked around 900 parents who had bought a high chair to tell us what they thought were the most important considerations when buying one, These are the top five:

  • ease of cleaning
  • child comfort
  • ease of storage and folding
  • stability
  • ease of taking child in and out.

Our testing takes into account all of these factors, and more.
