Almost 20 million people have never switched their mobile phone provider and so could be missing out on significant savings, according to a survey by Which? Mobile.
In our biggest ever mobile phone satisfaction survey, we asked 8,001 members of the British public about their experiences when switching mobile phone providers.

44% of respondents told us that they’d never switched provider and another 31% hadn’t done so in the last two years.
With new and competitively priced mobile tariffs launched almost every day, this means that millions of people could be missing out on crucial savings.
Our survey backed this up, highlighting that 48% of those who have switched believe that they now spend less on their mobiles, as opposed to just 17% that think they spend more.
Switching is easy to do
And those who have been put off switching because they anticipate a lengthy and difficult process should think again. Nine out of 10 consumers surveyed found the switching process easy.
Tom McLennan from Which? Mobile says: ‘If you have been with the same mobile provider for years, the chances are you could find a better deal elsewhere. With so many tariffs out there it pays to shop around, either through a comparison site or by checking out what different networks have to offer.’
