Slow cookers are a popular buy around this time of year, so here are a couple of slow cooking bargains - for last minute kitchen-themed Christmas gifts, or as an extra cooking gadget for seasonal chefs.

It's not just casseroles and stews that are suitable for slow cooking either - you can even make a batch of mulled wine in a slow cooker.

Crock-Pot slow cooker
The small Crock-Pot slow cooker (model number SCCPQK5025, pictured above) is a good size for cooking for one or two people. It's usually priced at a very competitive £20, but Tesco has knocked off an extra £5 off the price. You can 'Click & collect' your item from selected Tesco stores for free.

Argos Cookworks slow cooker
The Argos Cookworks 3.5-litre slow cooker is a basic option that comes with three settings - and it currently has 20% off at Argos, taking the price down to £13.49. You can reserve the item online to pick up for free at your local Argos branch.
