Three weeks ago Which? and campaign group 38 degrees launched The Big Switch – a new way to help consumers cut their energy bills.
The Big Switch will use collective consumer power to secure a market-leading energy deal for consumers – and so far more than 160,000 people have signed up to find out more.
The Big Switch – how it works
People tell us they’re worried about paying their energy bills, but we know that the number of different tariffs available on the market can be baffling.
The Big Switch is a completely new way to buy – and save money – on your energy.
Using the power of thousands of consumers, we’ll speak to energy suppliers and hope to negotiate a new tariff that will be the cheapest on offer. We’ll then help people make the switch to the new tariff, if they want to.

Join the Big Switch
You can sign up to The Big Switch until 31 March. Once we’ve negotiated a new energy deal we’ll let you know and you can decide whether or not to switch.
Which? executive director Richard Lloyd said: ‘In less than three weeks more than 160,000 people have joined The Big Switch campaign. This is testament to the depth of feeling from consumers about the spiralling cost of energy.
‘The more people who join, the stronger our negotiating power will be with the energy suppliers. There’s still plenty of time to sign up to The Big Switch before the end of March via The Big Switch website or by visiting one of our regional events.’
