Save on Volkswagen Sharan 

Looking for a practical and frugal MPV with a premium feel? How about Volkswagen’s eco-oriented Sharan Bluemotion with up to £3,221 off?

The 148bhp 1.4 TSI Bluemotion S is available from Motorlogix at £21,694 – saving £2,316 over the £24,010 list price. It features three-zone climate control, heated door mirrors and a DAB digital radio.

Brake-energy recovery and start-stop systems to improve efficiency also come as standard as part of VW’s BlueMotion Technology package, and help this small-capacity turbo petrol engine return claimed fuel economy of 39.2mpg, plus 167g/km CO2 emissions.

Mini offer means you only pay 50% upfront

The biggest saving, however, comes on the 168bhp 2.0 TDI CR Bluemotion in range-topping SEL specification, complete with a DSG automatic gearbox. This powerful turbodiesel is discounted by £3,221 to £29,744. It features Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, electric heated front seats and Alcantara trim.

These savings are on brand new factory orders with a typical delivery time of 14-16 weeks.

Pay half on Mini Cooper S

Mini has an exclusive deal on its Cooper S, SD and John Cooper Works models; customers can now drive away in one of these cars and pay just 50% of the balance upfront.

Buyers then settle the remainder of the balance after two years. At this point, they can also either part-exchange their vehicle for a brand new Mini, or hand the car back without paying anything more (this last option doesn’t represent the best value, however).

Diesel CLS promises 50mpg+ fuel economy

Under this ‘Mini Select 50/50’ scheme, the minimum upfront payment is £9,330, which will get you behind the wheel of a Cooper S. It’s an unusual way of going about things, but might just put a sporty new Mini within your grasp.

Mercedes CLS for under £40k

Finally this week, a deal on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 250 CDI offers a £7,000 saving.

The CLS established the modern trend for four-door, four-seat coupés and comes equipped with all the features you’d expect, including automatic climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and MP3 connectivity, DAB radio and sat nav.

This version should even prove affordable to run, given claimed fuel economy of 54.3mpg combined and 135g/km CO2 emissions (£115 annual car tax).

Carfile is offering the CLS 250 CDI for £39,850 – £7,010 less than the £46,860 list price – and they’re available to order brand new.
