John Lewis, First Direct, Saga, the Co-operative Bank and Marks and Spencer are the top five credit card providers for customer service, according to our latest survey of Which? members.
A record 11 credit card providers have become Which? Recommended Providers (WRPs), reflecting an increased satisfaction with card providers among their customers.
New Which? Recommended Providers for credit cards
Online retail giant Amazon.co.uk receives the WRP accolade for the first time with a strong 73% customer score, jumping up the rankings by 7% from our previous survey. There has been a growing trend of retail credit card providers with reward schemes scoring well among Which? members.
American Express and Nationwide Building Society rejoin the WRP ranks this month after dropping out during the last survey.
Santander and Asda improve credit card customer scores
At the lower end of the customer score tables, Santander and Asda have shown some improvement in customer satisfaction. Both have climbed out of our ‘proceed with care’ category for the first time in a year.
Which? credit card expert Bobby Nicholls says: ‘Its good to see credit card providers upping their game. Consumers have rewarded their credit card providers with higher customer satisfaction scores this time round and this has been reflected in the increased number of providers that have made it as WRPs.’
