Trailfinders has topped a Which? poll to find the best and worst holiday companies, leading a list of twenty six holiday providers.
In a survey based on over 3,500 holiday experiences, Trailfinders fared best with a customer score of 97%.
The long-haul specialist performed well across a range of criteria, including customer service, accommodation, tours and value for money.
Activity holiday specialists HF Holidays (94%), Inntravel (94%) and Exodus (90%) all performed well, helping to make up the top five companies, along with tailor-made holiday experts Audley Travel (93%).
Top rated holiday companies
The survey paints a positive picture for the featured holiday companies, with all of the top ten achieving customer scores of 85% or above and receiving top ratings for customer service.
In response to the impressive scores received by many featured companies, Lorna Cowan, Editor of Which? Travel said: ‘The travel industry has faced some turbulent times in recent years so we were thrilled to see so many companies performing well in our survey and delivering the high standards of customer service holidaymakers expect’.
Room for improvement
Despite the overall high standards set by many of the featured holidays companies some operators still show room for improvement. Shearings Holidays (62%), Thomas Cook (60%) and Newmarket Holidays (57%) sit at the bottom of the table, scoring below average scores for the holidays they provided.
