Best Buy washing machines come from brands we know to be reliable and will leave your clothes spotless. From the latest machines to return from our lab, five more models are Which? Best Buys.
Miele, Zanussi, Hotpoint, Beko, Whirlpool, AEG and Panasonic all had washing machines in our latest batch of washers to return, rated and reviewed, from our labs. Astoundingly, five of the ten models have been awarded Which? Best Buy status.
We know from experience that the worst washers leave your clothes grubby, waterlogged and full of detergent.
Our independent tests assess and rate important traits including cleaning performance, ease of use and rinse efficiency, as well as providing an estimate of the annual running cost. To make sure you buy wisely, read our reviews of almost 200 washing machines.
Quiet washing machines?
Before this batch of washing machines came along, less than 10% of the machines reviewed online scored a four star rating or better for noise.
Laundry expert Adrian Porter said: ‘The spin cycle is the main culprit when it comes to noise, but manufacturers are fighting back with brushless inverter motors and brand-patented technology to produce quieter washers.’
The Panasonic NA140VX3 we’ve tested comes from the company’s VX range, a series of models that claim to be quiet. Hotpoint’s AQ113L 297 E makes use of the manufacturer’s ‘Super Silent’ motor and AEG’s brushless inverter motor claims you can wash your clothes ‘in virtual silence’.
Do the claims live up to the hype? To find out, bookmark our washing machine reviews page – the results of these machines will appear on Tuesday 12 July.
Remember, you can quickly find the machines that achieved a four star rating or better for noise by selecting ‘noise’ on our washing machine compare prices and features page.
