Popular pushchair brand iCandy has revealed its latest pushchair design – the iCandy Raspberry – which is set to hit shops from Spring 2014.
The iCandy Raspberry features a new lightweight design and compact freestanding fold. It will be available from Spring 2014 – the price and retailers are yet to be confirmed.
Which? pushchairs expert Victoria Pearson says: ‘The new Raspberry appears to be the lightest pushchair that iCandy has ever designed. Lightweight but robust pushchairs, that fold compactly and are easy to store, are the holy grail of pushchair design. We look forward to seeing how easy the new Raspberry is to use in our pushchair test.’

Folding the iCandy Raspberry
The fact that the iCandy Raspberry can stand by itself when folded will definitely appeal to parents with limited storage space. The seat folds like a clam shell to stop muddy wheels dirtying the seat, and the fold seems to be very compact – going down to just 85.5cm x 54cm x 36.6cm in size.
iCandy says that the Raspberry is suitable for children up to 15kg. And the light weight of this pushchair will be its biggest appeal to some, as it weighs just 8.4kg.
The pushchair is suitable from birth with a ‘Newborn Pod’ insert, as the seat can be placed in the lie-flat position. The seat can be used forward facing or parent facing, and can be folded down with the seat fixed on the chassis in either position.

iCandy Raspberry – the features
The iCandy Raspberry appears to combine the versatility of its big sister pushchair, the iCandy Strawberry, with some brand new features. You can see how well the Strawberry scores in our iCandy Strawberry review.
The Raspberry comes with four-wheel suspension, new smooth-ride tyres, a seat unit made from water resistant fabric, a large basket that can hold up to 5kg and a hard-cased hidden storage pod at the front of the basket ideal for storing valuables.
The pushchair chassis comes in two colours – matt black or natural brushed aluminium. The iCandy Raspberry hood will be available in seven colours – Arctic Night (black), Atlantic (dark green), Lush (red), Beetle (grey), Sunflower (yellow), Wisteria (purple) and Fuchsia (pink).
