Phil & Teds launches new Navigator pushchair First pushchair that brakes when you let go
27 September 2013
Phil & Teds new Navigator pushchair boasts the world’s first auto stop feature, revealed at the Kind und Jugend baby trade fair in Cologne.
The Phil & Teds Navigator has a feature that means that the pushchair stops if you let go - preventing it from rolling away. The pushchair will be available to buy from next week from Mothercare, Toys 'R' Us, Kiddicare and other online retailers and independents.
We can’t wait to see how well the new Navigator pushchair does in our tests and how easy it is to use with its new features.

The auto stop pushchair
The pushchair's new feature looks as though it should be easy to use and quite effective, you pull the red bar on the handle towards you to go, and let go to stop.
Phil & Teds says this feature is useful if you need to pick up the phone or attend to an older child, as it ensures the pushchair won’t roll away.
Phil & Teds Navigator pushchair – the features
The Navigator pushchair is suitable from birth as it has a lie flat seat. However, it has been adapted so it has a larger seat, which is deeper and taller, to allow it to be used by your child for longer.
Phil & Teds claims that the pushchair's 'curb pop feature' means less force is needed and it feels lighter to handle when going up and over curbs. It also says the seat is lighter to improve the stability of the pushchair.
It has moulded neck support on the seat, comfort foam grip on the handle, and Phil & Teds says it's fast to fold with one hand.
Single to double pushchair
The Navigator pushchair can be adapted to become a double pushchair, using a kit which can be bought as an optional accessory. This is an additional seat that can be fitted, with the option of having your children facing towards you.
The travel system can now fit two infant car seats. It is compatible with Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix, Maxi-Cosi Pebble, Cybex Aton, and Phil & Ted’s Optimum car seats. See how well these car seats have scored in our
It is available in a range of colours: black, cherry (red), graphite (grey), tangerine (orange), golden kiwi (lime green), sky (light blue), midnight blue (navy blue) and silver.
