The latest Which? kettle tests have uncovered five new Best Buy kettles – including the best kettle we’ve tested in years.
One of the new kettles scores 83%, making it the best kettle we’ve tested that you can currently buy, and it’s available for a reasonable price, too. It’s fast, quiet, energy efficient, keeps limescale out of your tea and is easy to use – a rare combination.

Cheap Best Buy kettles
It’s not the expensive kettles that always do best in our tests – two of the five new Best Buy kettles cost £20 or less.
Which? kettles expert Matt Clear said: ‘It’s increasingly possible to get a great all-round kettle without having to spend much money. Some of the best kettles we’ve tested can be bought for less than £30.’

What makes a Best Buy kettle?
Best Buy kettles are the fastest you can buy, have filters that keep limescale out of your tea and typically don’t make as much noise when boiling. We also look for kettles than are easy to lift, fill and pour.
Some Best Buy kettles have received our Energy Saver Best Buy award. We award the Energy Saver award to kettles that don’t stay on for longer than necessary and allow you to boil small amounts of water, so you don’t have to waste energy boiling water you won’t use.
