Tea capsules for Dualit coffee machines

New tea capsules for Nespresso and Dualit 3 in 1 coffee machines

Fancy a cuppa? Dualit has launched a range of tea capsules for Nespresso and Dualit 3 in 1 coffee machines.

Tea might not be the beverage you’re craving when you fire up your coffee machine, but Dualit’s new range of tea capsules aims to broaden the appeal of this popular kitchen gadget.

This could be good news for tea lovers, though don’t ditch the teabags just yet, as these capsule cuppas come at a steep price. At 33p per cup they’re more than seven times pricier than a brew of Twinings English Breakfast, which cost 4.5p per teabag.*

New Dualit tea capsules

Dualit claims its tea capsules contain ‘premium grade’ leaves and infuse quickly, meaning you shouldn’t have to wait for your cuppa to brew before it’s ready to drink.

The range includes traditional tea blends such as English Breakfast and Earl Grey, as well as caffeine-free peppermint and blackcurrant infusions.

Packs of 20 capsules are available to buy directly from Dualit for £6.60 (plus delivery). If you’re ordering Dualit NX and Origins coffee pods before 25 May, you can pick up a free sample of five assorted tea capsules.

Nespresso coffee machine compatible

The tea capsules can be used with Dualit 3 in 1 and Nespresso coffee machines.

Teabags vs capsules

Which? deputy home editor Hazel Cottrell says: ‘The humble teabag has been around for more than a hundred years, and this time-honoured method of brewing tea has endured on the strength of its ability to deliver taste and convenience.

‘These new capsules work out to be far more expensive than using teabags, so they’ll have to offer something pretty special to justify the price.

‘But, if you are curious and want to branch out with your coffee machine you might want to give these capsules a go. If you do, let us know what you think of them by contacting us at’

* Price based on a box of 100 Twinings English Breakfast teabags costing £4.49 on 22/5/14.
