1. Pushchairs for fitness

Fitness is definitely on the pushchair agenda - we've spotted several new jogging pushchairs that are much more stylish-looking than the current models available.

Swedish brand Thule, better known for its car roof boxes, is launching a versatile jogger called the Urban Glide 2. This pushchair looks great and is designed to appeal to joggers as well as parents who want to use it as an everyday pushchair.

Graco is bringing out the Relay Jogger pushchair, which features a long safety wrist strap and large air-filled tyres.

And the has been renamed the Peach All-Terrain and will be in the shops in spring next year. It's not designed for jogging, but comes in sporty neon colours and is aimed at parents who want to get out and about.

2. New pushchair technology

Britax is currently showing off a prototype of its Britax Smile pushchair, featuring a smartphone-style device on the handlebars, which operates an automatic brake. As soon as you touch the handlebars the brakes are taken off, automatically, and as soon as your hands leave the handlebars, the brakes are immediately engaged.

The control panel also functions as a pedometer as well as telling you the speed you are going, calories burnt and even the outside air temperature. The full package is not due to hit the shops for another year, but another version of the Britax Smile - without the innovative brake system - will be launched in early 2015. You can see how Britax pushchairs have done in our tests by visiting our Britax pushchair reviews.

3. Parent-facing strollers

Great news for parents who want to interact with their children while out and about - we're seeing a lot of parent facing strollers appearing, including the newly launched Baby Jogger Vue. A lightweight umbrella-fold pushchair, the Baby Jogger Vue can be used forward facing or, with a simple flip of the seat unit, parent facing.

Baby Jogger is also bringing out a double version of the Vue, which will let two children face in different directions. See how Baby Jogger pushchairs have done in our tests in our Baby Jogger pushchair reviews.

Babystyle will be updating the Oyster Imp with a parent-facing seat. It's not launching in the UK for a while, but we've seen the prototype and it looks great.

4. One-pull fold pushchairs

A continuing trend is the one-pull fold. Folding a pushchair can be a chore, but the one-pull fold features on several new pushchairs. The Babystyle Oyster Lite and Baby Jogger City Mini Zip both feature a central handle that you pull sharply upwards to make the pushchair collapse into a very compact package. Baby Jogger calls this a 3D fold.

5. Neon pushchairs

A nod back to the 80s can be seen on many new pushchairs as neon colours feature heavily. From bright lime to muted coral, you can either make a statement with your pushchair and stand out from the crowd, or match it to your running trainers.

Other pushchairs to watch out for in 2015 include the iCandy Strawberry 2, Babystyle Egg and new revamped versions of the Uppababy Vista and Cruz. We've reviewed the original , and as well as the popular
